Job description
Overview

Would you like to be part of a dynamic and evolving urology team? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our busy and developing urology service. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive team delivering high-quality care to patients with both urological cancers and benign conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of the Urology Nurse Specialists and support outpatient clinic activities, including assisting with flexible cystoscopy procedures at the new Community Diagnostic Centre at Mile End Hospital.
  • Participate in equipment decontamination processes.
  • Carry out administrative and housekeeping responsibilities to support smooth operation of the service.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and adopt a flexible and forward‑thinking approach.
  • Commit to delivering person‑centred care and actively meet the needs of patients and the service in accordance with agreed standards.

The Senior Healthcare Support Worker will be an integral part of the ward/department team, working in partnership with registered nurses, nurse associates and midwives. The post holder will develop essential competencies through training and practice to ensure safety and quality are the priority.
