Overview

Our Security Team is looking for Uniformed Security Officers to join their diverse and experienced team. The Uniformed Security Officers are responsible for preventing and detecting offences against staff, visitors and contractors and will safeguard the company's property, merchandise, monies and assets.

Responsibilities

• In this role you will work closely with a team of Uniformed Security officers to actively patrol the store and be on the lookout for potential offences.
• You'll liaise with employees, the public, and police on day-to-day security matters, meet with other investigative agencies and conduct inquiries on their behalf if needed.
• You will keep up to date with any legislation that may affect your role.
• The role necessitates a 4 on 4 off shift pattern that may include working at other Company premises and will include weekends, night work, Bank Holidays or Public Holidays as normal days of work.
• Extra hours and/or days of work may be required and/or changed by the department, with adequate notice (typically 48 hours) and therefore, a flexible approach is needed.

• You will be passionate about security and safety and curious about developing yourself.
• You will have proven experience of providing exceptional customer service, and have the ability to build strong relationships with your team.
• You will work in an environment that is highly detail focused and require you to deliver exceptional performance.
• Have exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in conflict management and resolution techniques.
• Have mental resilience to occupational hazards like abusive and threatening behaviour, dealing with confrontation and pressures.
• Be able to demonstrate a high standard of personal appearance with a level of health and fitness that enables you to carry out the full duties associated with this position, which may include dealing with confrontational situations, as well as standing or patrolling for long periods of time.
• Have an SIA Door Supervisor license or be able to obtain the license if successfully offered.
