Overview
Our exposure management team are looking for a detail driven Underwriting Analyst to join our London team. This role sits within the Exposure Management team due to its close links with underwriting, including the build-out of reporting functionality for our Property D&F class. You'll be responsible for Claims, Premium, and Exposure bordereaux management and reporting, providing key insights to support underwriting decisions.

Knowledge and Experience
- Undergraduate Degree with preference for maths/economics/statistics/sciences
- Working towards a Professional Qualification/ACII preferred
- General insurance market knowledge with emphasis on delegated underwriting market experience across Lloyd's or company market, underwriting or broking
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Advanced MS Excel
- Numerate and logical
Day to Day Duties Include
- Ongoing bordereaux, data and performance analysis, as well as making sure all facility underwriting guidelines and mandates are being adhered to
- Making sure all internal data is in line with and as up to date as possible given the situation for each facility
- Assist in the preparation of reports for coverholder and binding authority performance monitoring
- Preparation and management of an internal dashboard report covering the performance of the portfolio and for reporting upwards to the Class Underwriter and senior management
- Cooperating in regular coverholder meetings and reviews
- Preparation for upcoming renewals - liaising with all relevant departments for data collection; Exposure Management, Actuarial, DUA, and Claims
- Regular liaison with Pricing Actuaries in order to monitor and record ongoing performance
- Performing brief assessments on new business to evaluate suitability
- Data preparation for reinsurance renewal on an annual basis
- Work with the Underwriting Services Inwards team on maintaining recording requirements for risks attaching policy records
- Write and maintain process and procedures documentation
- Creates, implements, maintains and continually try to improve technical and service standards
- Ensure own continuous training and development
- Ensures productive working relationships are established and maintained with all internal and external customers
