Job summary

Excis is seeking a Junior Desktop Support Engineer in the UK to join a dynamic IT team. You will provide first-line technical support for hardware, software, and user devices across enterprise environments, with a focus on delivering excellent end-user service and quick issue resolution.

You will diagnose Windows and macOS issues, support Microsoft 365, configure desktops and peripherals, and follow security policies while documenting incidents in the IT service management system.

Qualifications

• GCSEs including English and Mathematics, plus IT-related qualification.
• A-Levels or Level 3 IT qualification preferred.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Fundamentals are desirable.
• Experience in Windows/macOS, Active Directory and cloud apps is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support for hardware, software and devices.
• Diagnose and resolve Windows and macOS issues on desktops and laptops.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications and cloud collaboration tools.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot desktops, peripherals, printers and docking stations.
• Manage user accounts and password resets using Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Diagnose hardware components and replace faulty parts as needed.
• Support mobile devices (iOS/Android) and network connectivity basics.
• Record incidents and resolutions in the ITSM system and escalate when required.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver excellent service and meet SLAs.
