Our external client is looking for a Support Engineer to support the design, build, and delivery of secure digital solutions within highly secure environments. Working alongside engineers, architects, and delivery specialists, you will help develop and maintain technology that enables faster, safer decision-making for critical operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming tickets and provide regular progress updates to users and stakeholders.
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support across secure environments, services, and infrastructure, escalating complex issues to 3rd line support where required.
- Deliver end-user support both desk-side and remotely.
- Issue communications to the user community for incidents, planned maintenance, and service updates.
- Respond to monitoring alerts, triage issues, and escalates where necessary.
- Ensure incident tickets are accurately updated, maintained, and fed into the major incident process where appropriate.
- Document incident resolutions in the ticketing system and wider knowledge base.
- Travel occasionally to remote sites where required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience supporting and administering Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.
- Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory administration.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with endpoint management and Microsoft Intune administration.
- Ability to run PowerShell scripts.
- Experience provisioning end‑user devices and onboarding users.
- Understanding of security concepts including MFA and Conditional Access.
- Experience using Atlassian suite or equivalent ITSM tooling.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, curiosity, ownership, and the motivation to continuously improve technology services.
Desirable and Developing Skills
- Windows Server support and administration.
- iOS and iPadOS support and administration.
- Exposure to JAMF or a similar macOS MDM solution.
- Understanding of Group Policy creation and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to Linux environments such as Ubuntu or CentOS.
- Ability to write PowerShell scripts.
