About St Leonard’s C.E First School & Nursery

St Leonard’s First School and Nursery, Dunston, is looking for a tutor to plan and deliver 1:1 and small group tutoring sessions one morning per week 9am-12pm during fixed term spring and summer 2026. Pay £30 per hour.

Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced tutor to plan and deliver 1:1 and small group tutoring.

Responsibilities
  • Inspire confidence and a love of learning.
  • Deliver engaging, one to one and small group tutoring sessions tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Use assessment within tutoring sessions to adapt learning in response to pupil progress.
  • Create a positive and structured learning environment.
  • Assess and track student progress to maximise learning.
  • Provide meaningful feedback to the pupil and class teacher.
  • Support the Christian distinctiveness of our school.
