Job summary

SENse Learning is recruiting SEND Tutors to deliver one-to-one support for students with SEND and SEMH. The role supports learners across KS1–KS5, delivered in-home, online, or hybrid settings, with a trauma-informed approach.

We offer flexible referrals on a self-employed basis, with rates of £35-£45 per hour. Prior experience with safeguarding and DBS checks is required, and you must be based in the UK with right to work.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years of post-NQT teaching experience with SEND/ SEMH contexts.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS is required.
• Approach: child-centred, holistic teaching with trauma-informed methods.
• Compliance: Enhanced DBS and 2+ professional references.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with children and young people with SEND/SEMH needs.
• Provide in-person, online/remote, and hybrid tutoring tailored to each student.
• Plan sessions and share progress updates with the team and carers.
• Follow safeguarding and safer recruitment standards.
