Job summary

Riverside is seeking a Support Assistant to help run our housing support services in Walton, Liverpool. The role focuses on safety, wellbeing and practical tenancy support, with tasks ranging from responding to calls to coordinating with GP, Social Services and benefits teams.

You will log incidents, help with move-on planning, and ensure rooms are prepared for new occupants, while maintaining accurate records. A compassionate, detail‑oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with people in a customer facing environment.
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, including lived experience of homelessness or addiction.
• Basic administrative and IT skills and attention to detail to maintain records and in-house systems.

Responsibilities

• Support customers and assist in the planning and delivery of personalised support and move-on plans.
• Assist with risk reviews and record-keeping to ensure accurate information.
• Signpost customers to external support services and promote access to education and training.
• Support tenancy-related matters and day-to-day administration and operational duties.
• Maintain and update financial administration systems including rent accounts and invoicing.
• Ensure customer safety by following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns.
• Prepare customer rooms and ensure a clean, safe environment for new occupants.
• Work flexible hours and participate in team meetings and supervision.
