Job summary

Riverside Group in Romford is seeking a Support Worker to join one of our supported services. You will help customers access employability coaching, manage money, sign up for benefits, and progress toward a more permanent home, while keeping clear records.

The role requires resilience, empathy and a willingness to work a rota pattern, including weekends and bank holidays, at 30 hours per week for a permanent contract in The Boundaries and Lucas Court, Romford.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with vulnerable people
• Experience of delivering structured support and risk management
• Team player with a caring and empathetic nature, resilient and can-do attitude
• Understanding of supporting vulnerable people, including lived experience of homelessness or addiction
• Ability to work flexible hours, including lone working

Responsibilities

• Leading on Co-producing bespoke support and move-on plans, involving key stakeholders
• Organising and carrying out regular planned reviews of support and risk plans
• Engaging customers to meet agreed outcomes and develop life skills
• Assisting customers with day-to-day support and tenancy-related matters
• Identifying and promoting opportunities for employment, education and training
• Signposting customers to external support services
• Supporting customers to be tenancy ready and financially independent
• Supporting and monitoring healthcare needs and contact with professionals
• Empowering customers to move toward self-management of their medication
• Leading on support initiatives
