Job summary

A children's residential care provider based in Eastbourne seeks a Deputy Manager to join their new high-need residential home. This role requires significant experience in caring for children with complex emotional and mental health needs. Qualifications

  • Significant experience in children’s residential care, ideally within complex or high-risk services.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and Ofsted expectations.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Registered Manager with operational leadership.
  • Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes.
  • Quality-assure staff documentation and decisions.
  • Provide guidance to staff and model trauma-informed practice.
  • Build relationships with social workers, families, and agencies.
