Transport Supervisor (Fixed-Term Contract - 12 Months)

Location: Hartlepool

Jackson Hogg is pleased to be partnering with a national distributor that is seeking a Transport Supervisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the day-to-day management of its regional transport operation based in Hartlepool.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient transport and depot operations, acting as a key link between regional drivers and central support functions.

The Role

The Transport Supervisor will be responsible for the daily management and operational performance of the regional transport facilities.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Implementing and enforcing Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures
  • Scheduling all regional fleet maintenance activities
  • Ensuring depot facility maintenance is completed in line with instruction and standards
  • Managing all daily driver activities
  • Conducting driver briefings and de-briefings
  • Administering and managing vehicle defect reporting and rectification in line with legal requirements
  • Providing out-of-hours operational support as part of a rota
  • Overseeing and ensuring full driver compliance
  • Providing traffic office support, including planning and administrative duties
  • Acting as a conduit between regional drivers and central operational functions
  • Handling transport office calls, including vehicle breakdown recovery and driver-related enquiries

Qualifications & Experience (Preferred)
  • CPC in Transport Management
  • Previous experience as a Transport Supervisor
