As a Transport Shift Manager in a high-volumeinflight catering unit, you’ll be the driving force behind seamless airsideoperations for some of the world’s biggest airlines. Salary: Circa £43,000
Hours: Shift-based (including early,late, night, weekend and public holidays)

KeyResponsibilities
- Leadand motivate airside drivers and transport teams across live shifts, managing the day-to-day operation during the assigned shift, ensuring allscheduled flights are serviced accurately and on time.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, and overtime in line with businessrequirements.
- Ensure all loading, unloading and transport activities are conducted inaccordance with airline specifications, airport regulations and companyprocedures.
- Monitor shift performance, vehicle utilisation and resource allocationto meet operational demands.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Airside Operations and manage clientrelations to resolve service issues promptly.
- Monitorperformance, handle disruptions and problem-solve under pressure.
- Conduct briefings, audits and incident managementwhen required.
- Conduct regular vehicle, equipment and documentation checks.
- Report and investigate accidents, near misses and service failures,implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate operational records, including driver hours, vehiclemaintenance, and performance reports.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, cost controland service quality.
- Support the implementation of new technologies, route optimisation toolsand process improvements.

Experienceand Qualifications
- Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role, ideallywithin inflight catering, airport, or time-critical service industries.
- Valid UK driving licence (Category B; Category C or airside drivingpermit advantageous).
- Knowledge of airside operations and airport security procedurespreferred.
- IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent health & safety qualificationsare desirable.
- CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) in Transport Managementadvantageous.
