Job description

Established in 1996, Capital Recycling are proudly West Australian and a market leader in the areas of reclamation, processing and re-use of concrete and other building materials. Our corporate philosophy is one of innovation, attention to detail and the pursuit of excellence in all aspects of our operations.

Capital employ around 50 people and, while being a major supplier to the civil contracting, construction and transport industries, also offer a wide range of commercial and domestic demolition services.

In the position of Logistics Manager (based at our Welshpool Head Office), you will report directly to the Operations Manager and accept responsibility for the timely and effective allocation of company assets and sub‑contractor vehicles/equipment throughout the metropolitan area. The successful applicant will liaise with multiple parties, including drivers, sub‑contractors and customers, to ensure assets are dispatched and distributed within the required time frames.

Responsibilities
  • Fleet scheduling management liaising with the Processing and Maintenance Manager as well as the Projects Manager
  • Co‑ordinate drivers and all asset movements
  • Liaise internally with Projects, Maintenance and Senior Management
  • Ability to alter runs on the go as priorities change
  • Ensure drivers are aware of, and comply with, company policies and procedures
  • Ensuring all necessary documentation and paperwork is maintained on a daily basis
  • Run regular toolbox meetings
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in transport scheduling and truck allocation.
  • Experience in the management of drivers and sub‑contractors
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • An energetic and positive attitude
  • Have a thorough knowledge of the metropolitan area
  • A great phone manner with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Focus on customer service and satisfaction
  • High attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced PC skills with experience with Word and EXCEL
  • Ability to work independently in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • Commitment and focus on Quality, Health and Safety
  • Remain positive whilst working under pressure
  • Ensure accurate and timely issue of invoices through Capital Management System
