Lead Transport Planner

Integral Staff are proud to be recruiting on behalf of our well-established client for a Lead Transport Planner based in Dartford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport professional to join a dynamic logistics team and take ownership of day-to-day planning operations.

Salary : £35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum

Location : Dartford

Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the daily transport planning activities, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling of deliveries and collections.
  • Manage driver allocations and vehicle utilisation to maximise efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Liaise with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to ensure smooth operations and high service levels.
  • Monitor transport performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain compliance with all transport legislation and company policies.
  • Support and mentor junior planners or coordinators where required.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Transport Planner or similar logistics role (essential).
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and route planning.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
