Job summary

Alliance Healthcare, part of Cencora, is recruiting a Transport Admin Clerk at our Birmingham site to support Fleet, Maintenance and Compliance. The role emphasizes delivery planning, driver rosters and ensuring legal/safety compliance while sustaining service centre operations.

You will liaise with warehouse teams, monitor temperature data, manage documentation, and contribute to ongoing improvements in transport processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in a transport, logistics or distribution environment.
• Previous experience within an administrative role.
• Experience working within a cross-dock operation.
• Drivers wage calculation.
• Route planning.
• Strong organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with transport management systems (TMS) or similar software.
• Confident in using IT systems including Microsoft Office (365, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan delivery schedules and driver rosters to meet customer requirements.
• Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure smooth handover and operations.
• Monitor temperature data to ensure product handling standards.
• Investigate missing parcels and follow up actions.
• Attach documentation to driver timesheets and ensure accuracy.
• Check delivery paperwork for accuracy and completeness.
• Debrief drivers and verify timesheets, trailer numbers and shift times.
• Ensure hours are recorded correctly in the Working Time Directive spreadsheet.
• Analyse tachograph charts and produce infringement reports.
• Compute weekly miles-per-gallon for hire vehicles and share with managers.
• Support customers and drive continuous improvements in transport operations.
