Job summary

Pertemps is seeking a Transport Compliance Administrator in Erdington, Birmingham. The role ensures vehicles remain compliant, are maintained, and available for operation, with responsibilities spanning MOTs, servicing, bookings, and PO management.

The ideal candidate will have transport administration experience, strong organisational skills, and proficient Excel/Office use. This temporary maternity cover role operates Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport administration and vehicle compliance is essential.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle compliance, ensuring MOTs, servicing, inspections and repairs are completed within required timescales.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and bookings with garages as needed.
• Liaise with garages, suppliers, agencies, drivers and clients to coordinate repairs.
• Raise POs for agencies and external suppliers.
• Respond to operational issues with sound decision-making.
• Manage a high volume of emails and calls professionally.
• Communicate maintenance and compliance requirements to drivers.
• Maintain accurate vehicle records and up-to-date compliance documents.
• Prioritise urgent maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Provide general administrative support to transport operations.
• Use Excel to maintain records and monitor compliance information.
