A leading UK engineering organisation is seeking a Training Specialist to design and deliver impactful training programmes in advanced aerospace and defence manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in training within an engineering environment and a Level 4 qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. You will work closely with manufacturing teams to create training materials and ensure quality standards in the training process. Qualifications

Key Responsibilities - Training Partner
  • Designing and delivering technical training to teams across manufacturing.
  • Creating development pathways and supporting individual progression.
  • Building training materials, exercises and assessments tailored to engineering skills.
  • Evaluating competence and supporting certification of skills across multiple disciplines.
  • Ensuring accurate, up‑to‑date training records in internal systems and LMS platforms.
  • Working closely with leaders to identify critical training needs.
  • Maintaining quality, KPIs and continuous improvement across all training programmes.
Skills & Experience - Training Partner
  • Experience training, coaching or developing people in an engineering environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation and relationship‑building skills.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (aerospace, defence, automotive, or similar).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Experience with LMS systems or digital training content.

  • Quality/inspection knowledge.
Qualifications
  • Level 4 (HNC) or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Train‑the‑Trainer qualifications are a plus.
  • BPSS clearance eligibility required.
