Our expert team of dermatology consultants nurses and aesthetic practitioners work together to deliver exceptional patient care in a modern well‑equipped clinical environment.

As we continue to expand our services we are seeking a dynamic Training and Development Dermatology Lead Nurse to support excellence in clinical training and education driving continuous professional development across our nursing and clinical support teams.

Role Overview :

This is a key leadership role responsible for identifying training needs designing structured training pathways and supporting clinical staff across the business. The successful candidate will also assist the Head of Nursing (HON) with the development of SOPs and protocols ensuring safe and consistent delivery of dermatology services.

You will provide hands‑on training and sign‑off in specialist dermatology procedures leading onboarding competency frameworks while managing training resources and promoting a culture of learning and development across all levels of the organisation.

Key Responsibilities :
  • Assist the Head of Nursing with the development and review of SOPs and clinical protocols across dermatology and aesthetic services.
  • Identify current and emerging training needs within the business through audits performance reviews and staff feedback.
  • Develop and streamline a structured training pathway tailored to the needs of clinical roles.
  • Create and deliver engaging training programmes including:
    • Induction materials for new starters
    • E-learning modules
    • Refresher workshops
    • Sharing of best practice sessions
  • Provide hands‑on support and mentorship to staff within clinics across multiple sites.
  • Sign off clinical competencies including but not limited to:
    • Phototherapy
    • Patch testing
    • Cryotherapy
    • Chemical peels
    • Laser hair removal
  • Maintain clear records of training and competency assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g. CQC).
  • Promote a positive inclusive and supportive training environment across all levels of the business.
  • Manage the training budget ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient allocation of resources.
  • Travel to clinic locations as required (expenses reimbursed).
Essential Criteria :
  • Registered Nurse (NMC Registered) with valid PIN.
  • Minimum 5 years post‑registration experience with at least 2 years in dermatology or aesthetic practice.
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical training education or nurse leadership.
  • Strong understanding of dermatological procedures and clinical governance.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to engage staff at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel across sites to deliver training and support teams.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable :
  • Postgraduate qualification in Education Leadership or Dermatology Nursing.
  • Experience in private healthcare particularly in dermatology or aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with CQC requirements and training compliance documentation.
