Job summary

Maplecroft in the United Kingdom is seeking a Motor Claims Handler to proactively manage claims arising from road traffic accidents. You will focus on reducing hire periods and restoring claimants to their pre-accident position while controlling costs.

You will liaise with engineers, brokers, policyholders and third parties by phone and email. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy team.

Job description

As a Motor Claims Handler, you will be responsible for proactively managing the claim in terms of the damage sustained to the claimant’s vehicle from the accident. Focusing on reducing any hire periods by monitoring and working to tight deadlines to ensure the claimant is put back into their pre-accident position as quickly and efficiently as possible, whilst ensuring our customer does not incur any unnecessary further costs.

You will also need to liaise with engineers, Brokers, Policy Holders, third party companies and/or garages over the phone and occasionally via email/letter to review the accident circumstances and investigate who is liable for the incident.
