Job Title: Trainee Accountant, Regulatory Services
Location: United Kingdom (Milton Keynes office - in-office once a week, Wednesdays)

Overview

This role is perfect for a recent graduate looking to start a career in Financial Analysis and Accountancy, or for someone seeking a career transition from Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable. BSI is seeking a Trainee Accountant to join our Regulatory Services Finance team. You will support both corporate and project finance activities, gaining broad exposure to financial processes and reporting across the business. This is an excellent opportunity to work towards a professional accountancy qualification while contributing to meaningful financial decision-making. The role requires attendance at our Milton Keynes office at least once a week on Wednesdays.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare month-end management accounts and process accounting transactions.
  • Support budget, forecast, and variance analyses.
  • Provide financial insight and reporting to stakeholders for performance management.
  • Assist with balance sheet reporting and adherence to financial controls.
  • Support project teams with cost planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Analyze project variances and financial risks against business cases.
  • Develop and maintain cost tracking and reporting processes.
  • Communicate cost commitments and plans to finance and FP&A teams.
  • Create bespoke financial reports as required.
  • Provide cover for other Finance team members when needed.
To Be Successful in This Role You Will Have
