Job summary

Intact Insurance, formerly RSA, is seeking an Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines team in Leeds. You will nurture broker relationships, apply pricing strategies and assess risk to drive profitable growth.

You will work with colleagues to share insights, contribute to process improvements and represent our brand at broker meetings and industry events. This permanent role offers hybrid working arrangements and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Experience in underwriting from Commercial or Personal Lines or agricultural insurance from claims or underwriting background.
• Strong broker relationship management and communication skills.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities and drive new business.

• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement

• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed
• Experience either working in Underwriting from a Commercial or Personal Lines background or experience of agricultural insurance from a claims or underwriting background
• A commercial mindset with the ability to identify areas for growth and driving new business
• The ability to build and maintain Broker relationships or ideally have existing relationships with brokers
• Excellent communication skills
• A sharp eye for detail
