Job summary

Intact Insurance, the UK arm formerly RSA, is recruiting a Commercial Underwriter to join the Commercial Lines Underwriting team in Birmingham on a hybrid basis.

You will build broker relationships, apply pricing strategies, and contribute to profitable growth, with opportunities for career development, mentoring, and flexible working.

Qualifications

• Experience of Property & Casualty from an underwriting or broker background
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy
• Relationships with Brokers in the Midlands region would be beneficial
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Property & Casualty business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed
