Job summary

Intact Insurance in Leeds is seeking an Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines team. You will help shape the future of our agricultural and commercial book by underwriting, negotiating new and existing business, and building strong broker relationships.

This permanent role offers hybrid working and flexible hours, with a focus on profitability and sound risk assessment. If you have experience from Commercial or Personal Lines or agriculture insurance, apply to join a team that values growth

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Agricultural business within your authority.
• Building and maintaining broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices.
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas.
• Representing our brand at broker meetings, industry events and field visits as needed.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience either working in Underwriting from a Commercial or Personal Lines
  background or experience of agricultural insurance from a claims or
  underwriting background.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to identify areas for growth and driving
  new business
• The ability to build and maintain Broker relationships or ideally have existing
  relationships with brokers
