Job summary

Intact Insurance, formerly RSA, is recruiting an Underwriter for Commercial Lines in Gloucester. You will underwrite and negotiate agricultural and commercial risks, build broker relationships, and apply pricing strategies to drive profitable growth.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and negotiate Agricultural business within your authority.
• Build and maintain broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Apply pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices.
• Contribute to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas.
• Represent our brand at broker meetings, industry events and field visits as needed.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience either working in Underwriting from a Commercial or Personal Lines
  background or experience of agricultural insurance from a claims or
  underwriting background.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to identify areas for growth and driving
  new business.
• The ability to build and maintain Broker relationships or ideally have existing
  relationships with brokers

You'll make an impact by:

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Agricultural business within
  your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular
  engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable
  growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting
  practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as neede
