Job summary

Intact Insurance, the rebranded RSA Group in the UK, is seeking an Underwriter for Commercial Lines in Gloucester. Your experience in underwriting and broker engagement will help drive profitable growth while collaborating with colleagues to refine underwriting practices.

The role supports a hybrid working model with a strong focus on broker relationships. You will participate in brand representation at meetings and events, contribute to process improvements, and aim to grow new business.

Qualifications

• Experience in Underwriting either Commercial Lines or Personal Lines, or claims/underwriting background in agricultural insurance.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain broker relationships through regular engagement.
• Apply pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices.
• Represent the brand at broker meetings, industry events and field visits as needed.

• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed
• Experience either working in Underwriting from a Commercial or Personal Lines background or experience of agricultural insurance from a claims or underwriting background.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to identify areas for growth and driving new business.
• The ability to build and maintain Broker relationships or ideally have existing relationships with brokers
• Excellent communication skills
• A sharp eye for detail
