Job summary

Intact Insurance in Leeds is recruiting an Underwriter for Commercial Lines with a focus on agricultural insurance. You will underwrite and negotiate new and existing agricultural business within your authority, while building strong broker relationships and applying pricing strategies to ensure profitable growth.

The role emphasizes collaboration with colleagues, sharing underwriting insights, and contributing to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience in underwriting Commercial or Personal Lines or agricultural insurance from claims/underwriting background.
• Commercial mindset with ability to identify growth areas and drive new business.
• Ability to build and maintain broker relationships, or existing broker connections.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sharp eye for detail and accuracy.

We are seeking an Underwriter to join our Commercial Lines in Leeds where your input will help shape the future of the business and drive team success.

Your skills and experience:

• Experience either working in Underwriting from a Commercial or Personal Lines background or experience of agricultural insurance from a claims or underwriting background.
• A commercial mindset with the ability to identify areas for growth and driving new business
• The ability to build and maintain Broker relationships or ideally have existing relationships with brokers
• Excellent communication skills
• A sharp eye for detail
