Job summary

Intact Insurance, formerly RSA, is seeking an experienced underwriter for its Commercial Lines Regions team. You’ll deliver high-quality underwriting outcomes through broker relationships, while coaching and supporting underwriters to build capability and drive consistent team performance.

You will apply pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth, contribute to process improvements, and represent our brand at broker meetings and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of Property & Casualty Underwriting is essential.
• A sharp eye for detail and a head for strategy
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and negotiating new and/or existing Property & Casualty business within your authority
• Building and maintaining excellent broker relationships through regular engagement
• Applying pricing strategies and risk assessment techniques to drive profitable growth
• Collaborating with colleagues to share insights and improve underwriting practices
• Contributing to process improvements and supporting broker team ideas
• Representing our brand at broker meeting, industry events and field visits as needed
