Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Trade Operative – Plumber to join the Day-to-Day Repairs Team. You will carry out a wide range of plumbing works across both modern and traditional housing stock in Central and West Scotland, with a company van and tools provided.

The role requires driving on company business and good communication with customers. Salary ranges from £34,205 to £36,006 per year, with a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm.

Qualifications

• Qualified to SVQ Level 3 in a core subject (or undertaking) essential.
• Full UK driving licence required for company vehicle.
• Bring original certification to interview (CSCS not accepted).

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and restock as needed.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns, resolving problems or initiating resolution, keep customers informed.
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress of works that is easily understood by the customer.

Trade Operative – Plumber

We're looking for experienced Trade Operative - Plumbers to join our Day-to-Day Repairs Team based in Glasgow. These are fantastic opportunities to play a key role in maintaining and improving our customers' homes across both modern and traditional housing stock throughout Central and West Scotland.

Working both independently and alongside a supportive team of trades professionals, you'll carry out a wide range of plumbing works, helping us provide safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes for our customers. With a company van, tools, and equipment provided, you'll have everything you need to succeed in the role.

The role ofTrade Operative– Plumber will include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified toSVQ Level 3 in a core subject or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower-level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
