Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Glasgow is seeking an experienced Trade Operative – Joiner to join our Day-to-Day Repairs Team. You will contribute to maintaining and improving our customers' homes across central and west Scotland, working independently and with a supportive trades team.

You should have joinery experience, be able to fit fire doors and windows, and uphold health and safety standards. A company vehicle, tools, and equipment are provided to support your work.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in a core subject or working towards it.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Good communication and customer care skills.
• Recent experience in a similar joinery role.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance tasks per contract specs.
• Fit fire doors and windows as required.
• Keep tools and equipment in good condition and restock as needed.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns, informing customers of progress.

Trade Operative – Joiner

Glasgow

£34,205 - £36,006 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

We're looking for an experienced Trade Operative - Joiner to join our Day-to-Day Repairs Team based in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving our customers' homes across both modern and traditional housing stock throughout Central and West Scotland.

Working both independently and alongside a supportive team of trades professionals, you'll be experienced in fitting fire doors and windows with a good knowledge of door mechanisms. With a company van, tools, and equipment provided, you'll have everything you need to succeed in the role.

The role ofTrade Operative– Joiner will include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Fitting fire doors and windows
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified toSVQ Level 3 in a core subject or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower-level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
