Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Dundee is seeking a Trade Operative - Joiner to join our responsive team. You will work on communal areas and tenanted properties, carrying out joinery, door, window repairs and replacements.

The role is mainly lone working within a team of 9, with training provided and a company van and power tools to enable you to get the job done. Applicants should have SVQ Level 3 or be working towards it and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• CDM 2015 legislation compliance; SVQ Level 3 or working towards it.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Good communication and customer care skills.
• Recent experience in a similar role.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained and restocked as needed.
• Responding to complaints and breakdowns, resolving or initiating resolution.
• Providing accurate and timely information on works progress to customers.

Trade Operative - Joiner

Dundee

£34,205 - £36,006 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

We have an opportunity for a Trade Operative to join our Responsive team, based in Dundee. You will work in both communal areas and tenanted properties working with new and old stock, with skills in some of the following disciplines: joinery, door, window repairs and bathroom & kitchen replacements. The role is mainly lone working but within a wider team of team of 9. A full training plan will be provided along with a company van and power tools to enable you to get the job done.

The role of Trade Operative - Joiner will include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified toSVQ Level 3 in a core subject or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower-level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we would still welcome an application
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
