Job summary

Sanctuary Glasgow is seeking an experienced Trade Operative - Plasterer to join our Day-to-Day Repairs Team. You will deliver plastering repairs across a mix of modern and traditional housing stock, providing safe and well-maintained homes for customers.

With a company van, tools provided, you will work independently and with colleagues, hold SVQ/NVQ Level 2, and possess a valid UK driving licence. Salary £34,205 - £36,006 per year, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must hold SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in core subject and bring original certification to interview.
• Full UK driving licence required for company vehicle use.
• Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation applicable to trades.
• Excellent communication and customer care skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plastering repairs and maintenance to a high standard.
• Maintain tools and equipment; restock as needed.
• Respond promptly to service disruptions and keep customers informed.
• Provide accurate, timely progress updates to customers.

We're looking for an experienced Trade Operative - Plasterer ideally with skills in painting and tiling to join our Day-to-Day Repairs Team based in Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving our customers' homes across both modern and traditional housing stock throughout Central and West Scotland.

Working both independently and alongside a supportive team of trades professionals, you'll carry out a wide range of plastering repairs and maintenance work, helping us provide safe, comfortable, and well-maintained homes for our customers. With a company van, tools, and equipment provided, you'll have everything you need to succeed in the role.

The role of Trade Operative – Plasterer will include:

• Carrying out a variety of plastering repairs and maintenance works to a high standard, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction at every stage.
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in core subject . As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
