Job summary

Sanctuary Group is hiring a Trade Operative – Joiner to perform day-to-day repairs across customer homes, ensuring quality, safety and right-first-time results. You will handle a range of joinery tasks from doors to flooring, while keeping customers informed and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must hold SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in core subject, as part of interview requirements with original certification.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Good communication and customer care skills; able to work to deadlines.

• Carry out all types of joinery repairs from door replacements to flooring and kitchen work.
• Maintain tools and equipment; restock as needed.
• Provide accurate progress updates to customers and update job records in company systems.

Trade Operative – Joiner

£34,205 - £36,006 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

The Responsive DTD Joiner is responsible for delivering high-quality day-to-day repairs and maintenance within customers' homes, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and right first time. The role involves diagnosing and repairing a wide range of joinery issues, maintaining excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. On a typical day, the successful candidate will attend multiple properties to carry out repairs such as doors, locks, windows, kitchens, flooring, fencing, and general joinery maintenance, while keeping customers informed and accurately updating job records through company systems.

The role of Trade Operative - Joinerwill include:

• Carrying out all types of repairs from replacing a door to lifting and replacing floors, fitting kitchen units and fitting doors and windows
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to SVQ/NVQ Level 2 in core subject . As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
