Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Aberdeen is seeking a skilled Trade Operative – Painter and Decorator to cover Aberdeen and surrounding areas. You will perform painting and decorating duties to our properties and work both independently and as part of a team.

The role includes driving a company van, using power tools for business purposes, and receiving ongoing training to support your development. 25 days annual leave and a pension scheme are part of the package.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 in painter and decorator or completing the qualification.
• Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out painting and decorating duties in line with contract specifications.
• Assist in unloading deliveries and waste clearance when necessary.
• Provide accurate updates on progress of works to customers.

Trade Operative – Painter and Decorator

£34,205 - £36,006 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

We are looking for a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our responsive team working across Aberdeen and surrounding areas. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out painting and decorating duties to our properties. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work independently and collaboratively, using your expertise to resolve issues and maintain our high standards of customer service. We will provide you with a company van and power tools for business use, as well as ongoing training to support your professional development.

The role of Trade Operative - Painter and Decoratorwill include:

• Carrying out painting and decorating duties in line with contract specifications
• Assisting in unloading of deliveries and waste clearance when necessary
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these as and when required
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with CDM 2015 legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to SVQ Level 3 in a painter and decorator discipline or currently undertaking the qualification. If you have a lower-level qualification along with practical experience and would be prepared to undertake this qualification with the support of Sanctuary Group, we will still welcome an application
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• Good communication and customer care skills
• Recent experience undertaking painting and decorating within a housing maintenance or construction environment
• This role will involve driving on company business. To drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
