Clarksons Futures Limited is the derivatives broking division of Clarkson plc. It operates from the UK and through its branches in Dubai, Geneva and Singapore as a voice broker in OTC cleared derivatives contracts across CME, EEX, ICE and SGX. These derivatives contracts encompass dry and wet forward freight agreements (“FFAs”), and commodity-based derivatives including iron ore, fuel oil, gas, battery metals and carbon credits.

Division Overview

Our expert grasp of physical spot information, fantastic research and close working relationships, together with our superior knowledge base means our efficient trades are expertly executed. Well‑established and well‑known in the sector, we’re a close‑knit team from a diverse range of professional backgrounds, including ex‑traders.

This is an exciting opportunity for an entry level back office professional to assist and improve the way in which the back office operates within Clarksons Futures Ltd. Assisting a team of brokers to ensure the timely capture of executed deals, error correction reporting and improving processes. You will have exposure to dealing with trade capture and to working in a high pressured, fast‑paced operational environment.

What you’ll be doing
  • Coverage of a range of financial derivative products.
  • Trade capture on the internal trade booking system.
  • Submission of trades to various exchanges including ICE, CME, EEX and SGX.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant exchange rules and policies.
  • Trade error correction and reporting.
  • Regular production of analytical reports.
  • Updating process procedures.
  • Performing end of day reconciliations.
  • Monthly invoicing to clients.
  • Liaise with clients and assist with queries.
  • Assisting brokers with queries.

  • Experience in a similar back office or operational role. Beneficial but not essential.
