A community organization is seeking volunteers for the Milton Keynes Towpath Taskforce to help improve the local waterways. No formal skills are required; just enthusiasm and a desire to work in a team. Volunteers can engage in activities like vegetation management and litter picking, meeting new people and gaining great experience along the way.
Come and join the Milton Keynes Towpath Taskforce. We will cover a variety of activities such as vegetation management, towpath improvement and much more. All tools and equipment will be provided, together with expert and friendly support. Our activities take place once a month at different locations in Milton Keynes along the Grand Union Canal. Once signed up, you will receive briefings as to where the sessions will take place. In addition, you will also be notified of any other sessions that may be planned.
The second Monday of every month from 10:00 to 14:00 across MK.
Towpath taskforce roles offer a great way to meet other local Trust volunteers and colleagues, learn new skills, hear about other volunteering opportunities, or just spend a few hours outdoors improving your local waterway environment.
There are no formal skills required and you have the chance to volunteer across lots of unique and beautiful environments.
