A leading manufacturer in the UK is seeking a Lead Plastic Injection Mould Toolmaker for their Oxfordshire facility. The ideal candidate will be Apprentice trained or a qualified toolmaker with over 5 years of experience in plastic injection moulding. Responsibilities include manufacturing new tools from technical drawings, maintaining existing tooling, and producing hardened steel tools. Job description

Overview

A leading manufacturer of high quality plastic injection moulded parts and assemblies is now looking for a Lead Plastic Injection Mould Toolmaker to join their Oxfordshire facility.

The successful applicant will be Apprentice trained or a qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Toolroom Manager, you will be responsible for the manufacture of new injection mould tools from technical drawings and 3D cad data to a high level of workmanship in an efficient and cost effective manner.
• You will also maintain and modify existing tooling.
• With previous experience of CNC machining and CAD/CAM software, you will produce fully hardened steel production tools.
• This role is offered on a permanent, full time, day shift, with excellent benefits, including early finish on Fridays, occasional overtime, 25 days holiday + BH, pension scheme, and free parking.

Qualifications and Experience

• We are looking for an Apprentice served Toolmaker, with 5 or more years’ experience in plastic injection moulding; or a qualified plastic injection mould tool toolmaker.
• It is essential you have proven experience in CNC and CAD/CAM, working with steel / hardened steel.
• Also required is experience with Hot runner systems / Valve gates and manifolds

Salary / benefits: to c£45k, plus occasional overtime, pension and benefits.
