A prestigious educational institution in Greater London is looking for an experienced Theatre Technician to join their performing arts department. The role requires knowledge of lighting and sound control as well as video editing software. Responsibilities include setting up equipment and ensuring technical requirements for productions are met. Ideal candidates will have experience in a theatre setting and excellent manual handling skills. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Theatre Technician to play a key role in a busy and ambitious performing arts department, featuring two theatres, a drama studio and an array of multi-use spaces.
We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual to join our team and support this busy area of school life, providing assistance with setting up equipment, and ensuring AV, lighting, sound and power requirements are met for all events, productions and school activities.
To be considered for this role you will need knowledge of lighting and sound control within a theatre setting, as well as knowledge of video and sound editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Logic Pro).
You will also need to be confident in manual handling/heavy lifting of theatre equipment and climbing ladders.
This is a part-time role, working 4 days per week, during term-time only, plus 8 non-term days, starting in February 2026.
