The School of Art, Architecture and Design (AAD) is recruiting for a Textile Technical Demonstrator on an indefinite basis to support students across a range of courses we have in the School to maintain a high level of professional and quality output to students learning outcomes and projects.
You will have ability to provide practical demonstrations for a range of skill levels, giving advice and support on all aspects of Textiles. With expertise, knowledge and ability in a broad range of Textile disciplines, processes and techniques, including: Weave, Knit, Stitch, Digital Embroidery, Textiles Print, Rug Tufting and the associated processes and techniques.
Working with academic teams, you will integrate your specialist expertise in Textiles with our Textiles and Fashion Textiles students as well as students on other courses such as Fine Art, at both Undergraduate and Post Graduate levels.
In collaboration with the academic course teams and our Textiles Print technician you will work strongly as a team to support staff and students on the named courses and more broadly across other subject areas in AAD.
Knowledge and experience in the technical delivery of the breadth of Textiles in academic programmes of study, supporting students' understanding of digital as well as analogue processes will be in your skillset.
