Working Hours : 7 : 30am – 17 : 00pm (Monday – Thursday) 07 : 30am – 12 : 30pm (Friday)

Job Purpose

To support the Textiles team in the cutting and assembly of a wide range of materials to manufacture high-quality bags, covers, and racks in line with company standards, production schedules, and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Assembly
  • Cut various textile and composite materials accurately using manual and / or machine-based cutting equipment.
  • Assist in the assembly of bags, protective covers, and rack systems according to technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Prepare materials and components prior to assembly.
  • Operate basic textile machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out, fastening, bonding, or fitting tasks where required.
Quality & Standards
  • Ensure finished products meet quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Identify defects or material issues and report them to the supervisor.
  • Maintain consistency and attention to detail in all work produced.
Health, Safety & Housekeeping
  • Follow all company health & safety procedures and safe working practices.
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and free from hazards.
  • Handle materials safely, including manual handling of rolls, panels, and components.
Team Support & Communication
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Provide support to colleagues during busy periods.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors regarding progress, delays, or issues.
General Duties
  • Assist with stock handling and basic inventory tasks when required.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Undertake other reasonable duties in line with the role.
Person Specification
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Basic experience working in a manufacturing, textiles, or production environment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and follow technical instructions or drawings.
  • Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work accurately at a steady pace to meet deadlines.
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good timekeeping and reliability.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in textiles, upholstery, sewing, or industrial cutting. However, Full training will be given
  • Experience using cutting tables, fabric cutting machines, or sewing machines.
  • Knowledge of different textile materials (e.g., vinyl, nylon, canvas, foam, composites).
  • Experience working in ISO or quality-controlled environments.
