Overview

Our client a leader in advanced electronics manufacturing, is looking for a skilled Electronics Test Engineer to join their engineering team at their Newport site.

If you have hands-on electronics test experience, a drive for problem-solving, and want to work on cutting-edge products in a dynamic environment, this could be the opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and support production test equipment for functional testing.
• Lead test activities for new product introductions (NPI) ensuring smooth handovers from R&D to production.
• Write and update test documentation, instructions, and processes.
• Diagnose and resolve electronic test issues (PCBs, HLA).
• Implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) in test procedures and tools.
• Provide training and guidance to Test Technicians.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality standards are met.

What We're Looking For

• HNC (or higher) in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or 5+ years\' experience in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of electronics and experience with PCB/HLA testing.
• Comfortable using test instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters).
• Knowledge of test automation software - LabVIEW / TestStand experience preferred.
• Clear communicator and team player with strong documentation skills.
