Howdens Joinery is looking for a Territory Sales Representative to grow local trade customer accounts. This field-based role focuses on winning new business, building strong relationships with depots and customers, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships.

You will work autonomously with a clear emphasis on sustainable growth, delivering value through expert product knowledge and proactive account management. A strong track record in sales and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business or working in a target-driven sales role.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated, resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Grow and nurture the trade customer base across your territory.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to drive account spend and trading frequency.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally from first contact to resolution.
• Contribute insights, performance updates and ideas in team meetings.
• Keep data accurate and visible across activity and pipeline.
