Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to grow the local trade customer base. This field-based role focuses on winning new business, building strong relationships with depots, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships.

You will work autonomously with a clear focus on sustainable growth through strong relationships, proximity to depot teams, and a drive to succeed. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in winning new business.
• Experience in target-driven sales roles.
• Ability to engage trade customers from first conversation.
• Must have a valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities.
• Grow the account base across your territory and support each depot’s performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model, articulating benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to build account spend and drive trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing account holders.
• Handle customer inquiries professionally from first contact to resolution.
• Contribute insights and performance updates in team meetings.
• Keep data accurate and pipeline visibility up to date.
• Work safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.
