Job summary

Howdens Joinery, the UK’s No1 Trade Kitchen Supplier, is seeking a Territory Sales Representative. This field-based role focuses on growing local customer accounts through proactive prospecting and strong trading relationships across your territory.

You will work with depot colleagues to drive growth, win new business, and expand account spend, while ensuring exemplary customer service and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Track record of winning new business or working in a target-driven sales role.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated and resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product and service knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Build and grow the account base across your territory, supporting each depot's performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model, clearly articulating how it works and why it delivers.
• Collaborate with depot teams to build account spend and drive more frequent trading.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with both new and existing account holders.
• Take ownership of customer enquiries, managing them professionally from first contact through to resolution.
• Play an active role in team meetings, contributing insight and performance updates.
• Keep data accurate and up to date, ensuring visibility across activity and pipeline.
• Work safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.
