Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to grow local trade customers across your assigned territory. This field-based role focuses on networking, winning new business, and turning conversations into long‑term trade partnerships with depots.

You will work closely with depot colleagues to grow account spend, introduce customers to the Howdens model, and drive sustainable growth through strong relationships and teamwork. A company car and 40‑hour week support performance.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of winning new business in a sales role.
• Confidently engage trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated and resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Build and grow the account base across your territory, supporting each depot’s performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model, articulating how it works and why it delivers.
• Collaborate with depot teams to build account spend and drive more frequent trading.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with new and existing account holders.
• Take ownership of customer enquiries, managing them from first contact to resolution.
• Contribute insights and performance updates in team meetings.
• Keep data accurate and up to date, ensuring visibility across activity and pipeline.
• Work safely and in line with Health & Safety standards.
