Job summary

Howdens Joinery Limited is recruiting a Territory Sales Representative to drive growth by winning new business and expanding our local trade customer base.

In this field-based role, you will partner with depot teams, nurture relationships, and convert conversations into long-term partnerships, across your defined territory. With a strong focus on delivering results, you’ll manage opportunities from first contact to order, while upholding Howdens’ values and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of winning new business.
• Experience engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated with a drive to succeed.
• Ability to build product knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Build and grow the account base across your territory, supporting each depot’s performance.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and explain its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to increase account spend and trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing account holders.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally from first contact to resolution.
• Participate in team meetings with insights and performance updates.
• Keep data accurate and up-to-date across activity and pipeline.
• Work safely in line with Health & Safety standards.
