Job summary

Howdens, the UK’s No1 Trade Kitchen Supplier, is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to grow local customer accounts in your area. This field-based role focuses on winning new business, building trust with trade customers and delivering sustainable growth through strong relationships and teamwork.

You will work closely with depot colleagues, manage your workload with autonomy, and drive performance while adhering to Health & Safety standards. A full UK driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in winning new business or target-driven sales.
• Confident engaging trade customers from first conversation.
• Self-motivated, resilient with a drive to succeed.
• Able to build product knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Strong organisation skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by proactively approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Grow and nurture the trade account base across the territory and depots.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and its benefits.
• Collaborate with depot teams to grow account spend and trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing account holders.
• Handle customer enquiries professionally from first contact to resolution.
• Contribute insights and performance updates in team meetings.
• Keep data accurate and up-to-date to maintain visibility of activity and pipeline.
