Job summary

Howdens Joinery is seeking a Territory Sales Representative to grow a local trade customer base across your allocated territory. This field-based role focuses on winning new business, building relationships with depot teams, and turning conversations into long-term trade partnerships.

You’ll work with depot colleagues, manage your own workload, and drive sustainable growth through proactive account development. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a target-driven sales role.
• Proven ability to win new business and grow accounts.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to learn product knowledge in joinery and hardware.
• Outstanding organisation and self-management in a field-based role.

Responsibilities

• Win new business by approaching prospective customers and converting opportunities into new accounts.
• Grow and nurture the trade account base across the territory in collaboration with depots.
• Introduce new customers to the Howdens model and articulate its value.
• Collaborate with depot teams to increase account spend and trading frequency.
• Build lasting relationships with new and existing customers and manage enquiries end-to-end.
• Contribute to team meetings with insights and performance updates.
• Keep data and pipelines up to date for visibility.
