Job summary

A leading scientific laboratory in Worsley is seeking an individual to assist with the preparation of sampling media and urine kits, as well as to perform gravimetric analysis. Responsibilities include effective communication with customers via email and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Job description
  • Making up of sampling media to be sent out to customers. Including treatment of filters, making up of solutions, building up cassettes.
  • Gravimetric analysis - pre weighing and re weighing filters.
  • Customer interaction through email communication when taking orders.
  • Making up of urine kits/ recycling of media.
  • Capable of working independently as well as in a team.
  • Potential cross training in the laboratory for different extraction techniques for samples.
  • Understand and follow SOPs/WIs provided, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 and the internal Quality Management System.
  • Maintain Cawood credibility by always portraying a positive image by keeping equipment and PPE clean.
  • Work as a team and maintaining morale and actively offer help and assistance wherever possible.
  • Responsible for keeping safety at the forefront of lab work and being proactive ensuring accidents and near misses are always reported straightaway to Managers in line with our company accreditation and policy.
