Job summary

Emplyfy is seeking an experienced Technical Systems Engineer to join a high-tech organisation providing managed IT services to established businesses. This role covers technical support, infrastructure, system maintenance and hands-on work at client locations.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working across multiple technologies and taking ownership of issues through to resolution, with responsibilities including service desk case management and on-site diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Five years' experience in a relevant IT role.
• Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards implementation and configuration.
• Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services experience including Email, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
• Intune and remote monitoring platforms experience.
• Network infrastructure knowledge (routers, switches, VLANs, TCP/IP, firewalls).
• Experience coordinating with external partners and service providers.
• Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 configuration and security.
• Azure administration and implementation.
• Windows 10/11 and Mac environments knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical contact for customers and provide effective solutions to their IT requirements.
• Attend customer premises to diagnose faults, perform repairs and maintenance.
• Manage support cases and service requests using the Service Desk platform.
• Keep customers informed throughout the support process per SLAs.
• Escalate significant incidents requiring management intervention.
• Review priorities and manage workload to meet actions.
• Monitor customer environments to ensure business needs are met.
• Install, configure, test, maintain and repair hardware and software.
• Keep technical records and documentation up to date.
• Take ownership of urgent incidents, remotely or on-site.
