Job summary

Emplyfy is seeking an experienced Technical Systems Engineer to join a high-tech organisation providing managed IT services to established businesses. The role covers technical support, infrastructure, system maintenance and hands-on work at client locations.

You will act as a technical contact for customers, diagnose faults on-site, manage service requests and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process. A strong emphasis on security and collaboration is required.

Qualifications

• Cyber Essentials and GDPR security standards knowledge including implementation and configuration.
• Microsoft 365 applications and cloud services, especially Email, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
• Intune, RMM platforms and telephone systems familiarity.
• Network infrastructure knowledge: routers, switches, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, VLANs.
• Ability to coordinate with external partners and suppliers as needed.
• IT industry standards, processes and best-practice procedures.
• Windows Server 2016, 2019 and 2022 configuration and security.
• Azure administration and implementation.
• Windows 10/11 and macOS environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical contact for customers and provide effective IT solutions.
• Attend customer premises to diagnose faults, perform repairs and maintenance.
• Manage support cases using the Service Desk platform.
• Keep customers informed according to service levels.
• Escalate incidents requiring Management intervention.
• Review priorities and manage workload to complete actions.
• Monitor customer environments to meet business requirements.
• Install, configure, test, maintain and repair hardware and software.
• Keep tickets and documentation up to date.
• Own urgent/high-priority incidents remotely or on-site.
